    Default testing the waters

I haven't had the boat out for almost 2 months. I had some time off this morning so I decided to see if the boat remembered how to float. I headed down to Lake Monroe and was on the water for sun raise. There was a nice breeze from the NE. I set up for a drift and put a few rods out. I was still setting the rods when one goes off. Fish on, skunk off. It was small so it when back in. The next one was better, but still on the small side. I moved to a different spot.

This time when the rod went off, there was some pull to it. A nice keeper. The rest of the morning brought a mixed bag of sizes. A few more went back to grow up and 6 made the ride home for dinner.

WTG! It's great to see you back on the water.
The best thing my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing.

They have started early this year. We made several trips and have freezer looking good. Been back in the brine. All the fresh saltwater pushed in bu Dorian sure livened up the place.
