Default John Chestnut Park off Lake Tarpon

Took some time off from work to do some fishing with the kids. Today was impending Thunderstorms so we stayed onshore. Hit the south canal from Lake Tarpon with no luck, then headed over to John Chestnut Park where the ramps are. Mike caught a bass on a whopper plopper (or $13 buzz bait as I call it) and I was surprised by several nice crappie. One on a roadrunner with monkey shine slabalicious, 1 on pink straight tail and 1 caught several missed on a home tied pink jig and bobber. These were also the first crappie on the BnM rods I won from the contests. Left just as the storms rolled in. Good morning, good timing.
