Thats a good memory for sure.
This was the biggest of 3 Roosterfish I caught this day, ALL released. Ahhhh the Memories.
What time is it? IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!
Where was that, Mr. Marv? My boss is looking for a roosterfish trip for his son for his college graduation.

Nice Marv, Pez Gallo, one of your Mexico medley of conquests. How in the world could you possibly catch those while surf fishing!!! Real bruisers. Where are the Robalo memories/pics?

Hey Doug,
After Surf Fishing til I was 70 years old, I made the change to Charter Fishing as this photo shows. Catching and landing these fish from the Surf sometimes would go on for 30 to 45 minutes. I have photos of a friend of mine who landed a 70 pound + Rooster from the Beach. Was an adventure fer sure!
I saw some big Robalo (Snook) caught by the locals, in the muddiest water you have ever seen after torrental rains. I targeted the Roosterfish most of the time, and they need clear clean water.

Hey there Marv- Unless you're already on the braggin' wall, maybe a trip to Largo, FL could be on your itinerary...as well as reasonably priced eats! One way to bring back the good times!!

Very nice memories indeed and a beautiful fish too... thanks for sharing. I've done right much saltwater fishing in my time and I too used to love to battle with the big ocean fish... now awesome memories too.
