crappie down !
Placed him back into the pond. We see alligators in the pond most of the time. They travel from the pond, which is located alongside Route 19, then travel up a man made stream to our club house where there is a fountain in a small pond.
Residents are warned about the alligators, not to feed them and to be cautious walking their small dogs along side of the stream.
They migrate in and out of the retention pond as there is not much for them to feed on. There are fish in the pond, but don't think the population is enough to sustain the diet of many alligators at one time.
We have had some that measure over seven feet in length, and when they get to roam in the development the FWC gets a call to come and remove the critter.
Speck Detector thanked you for this post
