    Default Help a Hoosier, please.

    Hello fellow crappie catchers!

Took an airboat ride while in FL a couple of years ago; but, after the captain said there were specks in there...all I did was daydream about pulling big crappies out of the water, lol. Will be visiting family near Charlotte Harbor, and was wondering how far I would have to go to get to some crappies from there. Also, if there are any places to fish that wouldn't require a boat.

    Thanks in advance, gentlemen.

I hope that someone speaks up to help you find the crappie. Should you not get that put together, look into a place to cast for sea trout. Lots of fun and good on the table. Numbers usually good enough to keep you interested and surprise fish now and then. Enjoy your trip, whatever you may find.

Thank you. I saw Webb on Google Earth. Glad to know you can bank fish on it, will make our way over there and give it a shot.

Also while your there... across the street on tuckers grade there are some small ponds. They hold some suprises. Not sure if you can legally fish them still but a call to fwc might answer that.

Maybe Jiganomics will chime in. He is a bank fisherman mostly and he does pretty good fishing the inlets into Okechobee . Been reading his posts myself. Theres few places around me to bankfish. Would be a fun road trip down there.
