The crappiemasters guys fished it last weekend & didn't seem to have a problem catchin fish and had a 2 day weight of over 27lbs
Of course those guys could find fish in a ditch.
I've never been but maybe someday I be able to give a report on it.
Fished Okeechobee mid January, water level was bad low and the crappie bite was slow, thinking of spending a few days on lake Talquin, any of you guys been catching any on this lake lately, any reports will be appreciated...
The title should have said lake Talquin
I don’t know how to change it,

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"Child of God thanked you for this post
Fished down there Monday afternoon thru Thursday morning and kept 175 slabs. We didn’t venture far from the camp because we didn’t want to fight the crowd that was up the lake. We caught all of ours in boyscout fishing the channel to begin with and then fishing the flat inside of the mouth. Water temp got up to 70 degrees but the females we caught was not quite ready. Most of our fish was running 10-14 feet down. Color changed every day but John Deere green and fire & ice caught the majority
