Default Pro Team Journal St. John's River

Don't know how many seen this episode on Outdoor channel with Wally Marshall, but some pretty cool tactics Crappie fishing the river around Lake George area. What amazed me is it was taped last June w/89F water temp. & the bite appeared best late morning til' early afternoon, you can see the thunder clouds building toward the end of the taping. And not just catching fish, but 15" plus Bona-Fi Slabs...What really caught my attention was the fishing rod he was using, the 1st guide from the reel had a small 1/4" eye within a larger 3/4" or so eye designed to cast further...on video you can see the line go from spiral off the reel before the eye to straight after the eye, thought that was very cool, anybody else heard of these type of guides? Of course, he marveled over the color in the fish & stated the trip was every bit worth the 17 hr ride...

Yep caught that one. Wally was sweating his rear end off. It was a good watch.

I saw the video on the outdoor channel. The microwave guide was a new one for me. Had not seen it before.

That makes 2 of us.....Pro Team Journal was the "show" on Outdoor Channel, but Strike King series appeared to be the originator of the taping....
