Dang it. Y'all go back to work and pay your taxes so it can be taken care of. That's that Billbob says.

There is a request from the Harris Chain Restortion council into the Legislature for 10 million part of which is to help fund the Hydrilla problem in Lake Harris. Lets hope it goes through. I was at that meeting as i am most every meeting that is on the first fri of every month at 9 am at the round courthouse downtown tavares. It would be great if all the fisherman would come and voice your opinions, I voice mine every month about sediment coming out of Lake Apopka every month and the pollution gong n again with the downstream lakes.

Must not be any local politicians that live on and use the lakes regularly. They would be fixed in record time if there was.

And, I have a bass fishin' buddy, that was cryin' and moanin' about how the spraying has ruined his favorite spot. They will never make everyone happy.

Yup, duck hunters are not at all happy with the hydrilla and vegetation removal and spraying that FWC is doing.

    Wow.

There has been a catastrophe in Florida, and I’m not talking about Hurricane Michael,” said Mr. Iglesias, general manager of Roland Martin Marina and chief of the Martin Marine Center Series fishing tournaments at the December meeting. “I’m talking about the spraying of herbicides at a tune of $23.5 million. That number is $23.5 million worth of poison being poured into the lakes all over the State of Florida.”
He said on Lake Okeechobee alone, $2.5 million is spent each year on herbicide spraying.
