One of the hardest things in my life was losing the one dog that thought that the sun rose and set on me. So sorry for your loss. You are, however, left with 15 years of wonderful memories. I hope that you can find some comfort in them one day soon. It takes a while......

My condolences on the loss of your baby. I am on my third golden and I have buried people easier than my pups. The Rainbow Bridge poem has kept my sanity in times of loss.

Heartfelt condolences Sorrydog, know 1st hand of the physical/emotional bonding. What a marvelous concoction the world would have if it could be found in a prescription.

No, she was old and knew she was dying just before Christmas. We always go to the lake after Christmas for couple of weeks. Vet gave us meds to clam her and she died in my arms. Was better than having to put her down.
