    Default Dexter

I'm down at my Astor fish camp for the week and this morning my girl Gail and myself joined my dad for a morning troll. The bite started out hot and slowed down after 9. We kept 15 over 11" with just a few throwbacks. No big ones but dad did catch a 2# plus fish a few days ago from Dexter. Water temp was 67.
I've got this darn salt itch I need to scratch over at Daytona the next couple of days but I plan on going after the crappie again later in the week. Name: 20190106_112910_50.jpeg

Glad you found some. A 2lb fish gets anyone’s attention. He looks happy holding that fish.

Can you get a 20’ bass boat to woodruff lake from lunching on Dexter, is the water depth deep enough in the canal that connects the two lakes, is what I’m trying to ask,

You shouldn't have a problem with your boat. I go thru Dexter with my 19 ft and have seen bigger boats than mine going thru the canal.

You shouldn't have an issue going through Dexter to Woodruff if launching in Astor??.... but sometimes if coming from Tedders through the spring garden run it gets shallow as you go into the lake & the same if coming from Highland Park through the Dead River.

I haven't been there since late summer so I can't tell what the water level is now but it is low on the south end near Harney.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I hoped you saved a few, we will be there in a couple weeks. Did you find any pattern to them?

Plenty left! No pattern really other than the bigger ones have come out of the river so far for us.
