Hi everyone!
I am new to the area, have purchased a boat and ready to start fishing!!!
I just joined Crappie.com last night.
I was hoping some of you folk could give me advice on, where to fish, what techniques to try. I have been out on Lake Eustis, Big Harris and Lake Dora. Tried Minnows with bobber, but have yet to catch any crappie!
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to post response or prvt msg me
Thanks all

Id be taking regular trips to the places you want to fish without the boat, that way your no threat.
Hang around say from before noon till 1.30 or so and talk to people in the lot as they secure their boats.
Don't be selective, talk to everybody, and ask just general questions without getting pushy.
First ask what they were fishing for, observing how the boat is rigged and the type rods on board can be a good clue without any questions. Don't be fooled by the quality of the boat, the locals with the old boats are most often the ones to watch.
Make a mental record of the boat, and then watch for them when your on the water and be paying close attention.
Pay attention to boats staying in certain areas for long periods. Stay a good distance away and observe with binnoculars. How with what, is as important to you as how many.
I personally no longer carry binnoculars, but a small spotting scope with a solid support instead, and im dead serious about that.
Just don't get so carried away with what others are doing that you forget you have rods on the boat. lol
