    Default Stick Marsh/Farm Pond 1-3-19

Made the trip down south again, looking like the best day wind wise for a while. The bite was slow & the average size was down. Caught 23, but only 10 would have made the 11" cut. I know their are around, however, have moved from a area I have a lot of luck with, should of tried the canal's, ect...Not all was a busted trip though, did manage a 1# 12oz & 1# 10oz, that kept my hopes up while continuing to search & the usual bass bite made things exciting in the mix...still better than a day at work!!

Were you jigging or trolling? I thought about making the run up there from Okeechobee. I haven't fished Stick hard since the '04 Hurricanes. I was told there wasn't any weeds, so I was hesitant to make the drive.

I was long-lining open water, funny thing is I ran into 2 guys pitching the banks that came up from Okeechobee, said they couldn't buy a bite & were frustrated with the snow birds down their way, what I told them is as I'm telling you, the bite was awesome back in November & I know they're around, but there's a awful lot of water to cover down there, maybe Blue Cypress, they've been tight lipped down there
    crappie down !

I was thinking the same. How many sets of tires you ran through on that trailer now?
