    Default Different kind of morning

The day started with seeing the "full" Moon setting & the sun rising. The clicker was adding up early, but no keeper size fish. Was able to make 2 passes & a few (5) good fish before the wind took over & I was in the washing machine, could'a sworn the wind was from 2 directions & the current another, sooo the dim light lit upstairs & I remembered what situation this called for, yep, Crappieday jigging mode. Went up into Deep Creek & found myself busy quick, only found 1 speck in there, but maybe because I couldn't keep the war-mouth off the jig & also tested my tackle with (4) mud fish over 5 lbs. a 8#er in the pic below, he thought he was a bass tail-dancing out of the water. Sure was fun single poling a spell, then returned to the ramp to find a boat-plane at the Jolly Gator, a young couple boarded it & took off before I left. Pretty cool way to impress the girl friend, although I was surprised to see such a small engine on the plane & feared for it's ability to handle what must have been 20-25 mph wind today, but there it motored above me, on to their next destination...yep different day for sure!

A good job this morning, and very different indeed. I haven’t stumbled into a mud fish yet but I’m sure I will now that I opened my mouth. Love the Warmouth, and their fillets make a dandy dinner.

Haha! My father and I were actually staying over in okie tantie at anglers hotel. Tough fishing Thurs and Friday with rain and wind, decided to hit harney Saturday morning for a better bite. We're down there quite a bit though, so I'll definitely PM you!

My bad...knowing your were at Okee Tantie, I presume you were speaking of "Harney Pond" not Lake Harney in Seminole/Volusia county I was speaking of, o'well if ever in the area , offer still stands....

Ah yes, different place indeed. But thanks I'll definitely still holler if we're on your neck of the woods. Do the same if you're fishing tsala Apopka chain, I've got some good spots right now

Sorry you had such a rough day but you made the best of it. Much better out today a bit chilly in the morning but warmed up nice. The jig and bobber bit was off a bit so I went deep to find fish. Trying to set up a milk run for my son and I tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you Jeff
