    Default River this morning.

It was a cold ride on the river this morning but was rewarded with fish cooperating. Started out fishing main river and found fish around trees but not holding tight in em. Caught around 10 and when the wind got blowing good I ducked back in a back slough and dipped some dollar weeds for another 10 and those were a bit better fish than the river. Headed back to the house and looked for Skeetbum on the way back but he was tucked back in another slough dodging wind. All fish still out there swimming around. Maybe they will all want to play again tomorrow morning. See y'all on the waterName: 20181222_073948.jpeg

Nice catch and post. The St. John’s oughta really be flowing with all the rain we had.

It was a good mornin. Didn’t start til about 10 and was headed home by 2. At first, I thought I had made a mistake going. Like that could ever happen. Started slow with hardly a fish in the first 30 minutes, then found a crappie. Turns out he had lots of cousins, all born about the same time. Caught at least 40 and would have been hard pressed to find 3 that would have broken 10”. Didn’t care with a fish on near every cast. That went on for about 2 hours, then the bluegill showed up and a few of those could have finished out a good dinner. Somewhere in there a 14” or so LMB showed up to make things interesting. Then it slowed and finally stopped and I couldn’t buy a fish. None to clean, fresh air in my lungs, friends calling on the phone, slough all to myself. I’m here to say this was another Christmas present come early. Hope everyone had as good a trip as I just finished. Maybe we’ll get together next time Mike and let Sylvia stay warm, sure be good to share a boat with you again. Been a while.......Skeet.

Yessir, had a buddy from work going tomorrow and he backed out but my oldest son jumped all over the chance to go. We will get together soon. Maybe in the lagoon.
