I fished talquin first time last January, it was my first time crappie fishing in Florida, and I was proud on the 2 lb'rs we caught Id love to see a 3 lb'r. Fishing was kinda tuff and I was told to come back in Feb, which I may do this year. I am curious to how you fished? longline, spider rig, jigging? also were you fishing with minnows? I had best luck pushing minnows in creek channels and flats.

i was longlining 1/16 oz jigs - my favorite method here. curly tail jigs, white with chartreuse tails and blue with chartreuse tails.tipping jigs with minnows not my favorite method. spider rigging with minnows or vertical jigging can work well here. fish now polk creek and east. should be spawning in the back of creeks by february-ocklawaha, rocky comfort, hammock, blount, harvey mill, the ochlockonee river.
