    Default Testing a New Bait......

Got out early, actually had to wait a !/2 hr before setting up til' the light in the sky showed. Was restricted to the N/W side of the lake due to the wind & noticed right off the surface W/T was about 8 degrees lower than last week...was 76F in pic below. Cold front past through & wind Hmmm was wondering how things would pan out. Well, I ended with 35 & did not have one under 11", although biggest was only 13"...all got put back this morning, freezer lookn' good these days. Very aggressive bite, had 3 specks twist the rod holders that usually only happens with the cat's/gar's. Ok, the "new" bait.... been running low of beetle spins, so decided to match up a few ebay items, red/white red devil Colorado blade & a 1/4 oz bullet head w/#1 sickle hook...everything a bit bigger, well 3 of the 13"ers took the offering & 8 total hook-up's so I think they"ll be alright....It looks like the cooler temps have them heading to the lakes, get some fellas....

Great sunrise picture & always nice to make a new bait combo work

Wanted to go yesterday mornin but was worn out from school fall fest & turkey shoot on Saturday.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Do ya'll like the beetlespin type of spinner blade versus roadrunners? I always keep a roadrunner out when longlining and some days they like it and some days I'll go all day without it being hit, shakes my confidence.

I pull all roadrunner when longlining. Just cause that's what I have and am confident in. Beetle spins do work really good too.
