I'm telling ya....the fish grow quick & fat there, just like Crescent...both lakes are 1 1/2 hr from house, difference is out of 70 boats 65 of them will be green carp fishing down at the Stick Marsh...much less pressure

Nice mess of fish! That’s a cool looking lake with the palm trees.
    Don’t see that in Oklahoma!

great report & pictures Jeff. Glad to see you made it back down there & had a very successful trip.

Sometimes the travel is questionable but usually worth the results especially with a mess like that !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Thanks for that report. Thats one of my closer to home locations. The closest is Garcia, but it is so covered up with hydrilla now its not worth going. Same with several others, the new as yet unopened one next to Stick marsh isn't even visable now, totally covered.
Problem with Stick Marsh is that as the tourist season heats up you cant find an empty parking space due to all the bass fishermen. And by the time they all leave the weather has heated up. lol
The canal on the right as you drive back in there is the C54. There is a good ramp and dock within about a half mile as you drive off the paved road just past the rowing club. Thats about a 10/12 mile stretch of wide canal with some decent depth water which also includes 2 bridges including the I 95 bridge. Hardly ever anybody there, and pretty good for trolling.
Just assuming you fished near where you took the pics? Did you venture over to the Farm 13 side at all?

Probably about an 1.5 hr drive, I'd like to give a try some day, maybe when/if I get a new trailer !!

Nice mess Jeff. No doubt some monsters are plugging along out there now.
