    Default Trolling motor question

I have a 80# 24 volt I-Pilot trolling motor on my boat and I understand the variable's of weight, conditions, speed, etc.......
My question is for those who have comparable set ups.
How long on average would you say the batteries last when you start the day with a full charge?

I have been less than impressed with mine so far (about 4 hours) but the age of the batteries is unknown.

Let's back up a little. What kind of boat do you have it mounted on? What speed are you running? Are you long lining or pulling cranks or just spider riging.

I understand no two boats are going to be the same and conditions will effect things as well.
Just trying to get a feel for average.

Are these batteries group 27, 29 or 31? I would think on that boat average wind and good batteries 8 hrs should be doable. If Group 27’s might be more like 5. I would charge batteries and pull and get load tested.

I have a 70 lb MK and have run non stop for over 6 hrs without issue. 2 walmart series 29’s were the best deal I could find at just over $200/pair. Your boat and mine aren’t much different. An on board charger helps make em last as much as possible too, and never leave them in a depleted state. If you use em, charge em.

I have the same set up on a 17.5' tracker. I usually fish for 6 to 7 hours and I still have 3 lights worth of power left. I did switch to a different prop, it had 3 blades and I'm very happy with it. Much better control in the wind and at less speed .
