    Default Quick afternoon run

Hit Monroe this afternoon for about an hour and half. Hot and windy was the theme. Water temp Sunday morning was 84 and it was 89 today. Kept 6 and threw back same or more. Going to wait a few weeks before trying an afternoon trip again. Need some cooler temps to set in and cool the ole girl down a bit. Name: 20181016_151022.jpg

I am sure it heated up with the record or near record heat we had yesterday and today. And that's surface temp.

Nice to slip in a litl' afternoon delight!!....haven't heard bout the time change other than looking up on-line, there saying Nov. 4th?? been nice not having to get up earlier than 6am to catch sunrise on the water....good thing though is when it finally cools off you'll be able to fish all day...

Sounds like fun anyway. I went for about 3 hours down to the river. Too much water moving too fast. Did get a 14+ LMB on the 2lb rig. He did whatever he pleased for a good while, worth the trip. Cooler temps can’t come soon enough.

Good to see you got out. I planned to make one last trip this week, but, too hot. Switching crappie gear out for bass gear. Heading to KY Lake next week. Then come back for shoulder surgery. Looks like I won't be able to enjoy crappie fishing, except vicariously, through you guys.
Keep at it guys (and gals) - look out January!!!!

Great way to end the day with a nice calming afternoon trip. You're right about the heat though, its been too dang hot.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Yep, can't wait for the Florida fall temps of low 80s instead of low 90s............................................... ...............................
Side note: River is dropping like a rock looks like super low water for this winters crappie (speck) fishing, last year high this year low always something different.

Maybe we can get some jig fish this year. Looks like coast is going to be inundated by redtide. up to Brevard county now and some spotted reports along Volusia county now coming in. Of course no official reports from Volusia yet.
