Well we met Crappieday at the park gate as they were opening and headed out. So much for the 5mph winds forecasted. By 8:30 Sylvia had enough getting tossed around. Kept 7 threw back likely as many. Monroe was sure mean spirited this morning. Name: 20180922_070635.jpeg

I had a great ride up to the power plant in the dark. Little bumpy, but it wasn’t too bad

Unfortunately by 930 only had 4, one being released. Went home around 10.

Three trucks in the lot when I arrived, must have just missed you all.
Yes, Monroe was in a grumpy mood this morning but I had to stick it out a bit longer.
Ended up with 5 big enough to keep but they were turned back to fight another day.
The first two fish to come over the side of my (new to me) boat and a picture of my red neck no drill rod holders.

Yep, the weather guesser was wrong again 5 mph winds my foot...........
Saw Tim go by but just couldn't fight the wind to stay in that area lost two nice fish turned with the wind and went with the flow. Finally found a pattern that worked for me around 10 am. The fish came right up on top only fishing 2 to 4 foot deep. The harder the wind blew the faster they bit. Could hardly stand to net fish then the sun came out and they quit biting. 36 on the clicker 12 in the box.............. It was nap time in the afternoon I was beat......

They were wanting red/black with clear sparkle tail today also.

Hobo, every fish in the livewell was hers. She had fun but didn't like the rolling and tossing around.

Didn’t go under the bridges til 830. Rough going north but the lower swells made it better. Good to see you Andy, and I pulled right past the flats boat at the ramp. Nice rig, sorry I didn’t see this or I would have said hello. Tried something new that worked great. Will do a show and tell at the pavilion on the 6th. Lots of little fish today, but I was also throwing back 10’s. Got 28 and kept 6, all of which had good shoulders. Worn slap out when I was done.

Good picture of you and the room mate Mike, she looks good.

I agree Andy, Friday the water was slick as glass for the 1st time in the last couple months & as a result the bite came to a screeching halt & also noticed a lot more weeds to comb through, glad you guys stuck it out & figured a pattern for some success....never choose to wish for wind due to safety, boat control, ect...but have experienced that's what get's em' chewing so far this late summer....
    crappie down !
