Good post and catch. Glad Ernie was able to get you out for some aqua-therapy.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Glad to see you are getting out. Fishing is therapeutic, proven fact in my book! Those are some pretty fish down there, I like the dark color. Hope to see more reports and pics soon!

Thanks for sharing your successes/failures, Skeet, often the bad trips are held close to the chest. Being able to enjoy our passion is a prescription no professional need write. Glad your common sense was a factor in a great day of catching.

Good for you getting out. Has your cardiologist mentioned getting back on the treadmill yet?
Sounds cruel, but be ready for it.

I start cardio rehab the 21st and that is 3 times a week for 12 weeks. I know that I need the workout, I'm not who I was before and all I'm allowed to do is watch TV and chill. It's coming along but man it is slow. As fast as all my doctors reacted when I blew the whistle and got me taken care of, I say let em take their best shot. Been down before and will be back again. I appreciate everyone keeping up on my progress, it means a lot to me.

I never had the pleasure of knowing my fathers father, as he died at age 49.
My fathers brother died in 1955 at age 55.
My father died in 1961 at age 54.
All died with what was then known as hardening of the arteries.
I had the surgery 3 weeks before my 70th, now over 13 years ago.
I shot my first and only PA black bear 6 months later, and helped drag it out.
We need be thankfull to god for living in such a great country, and having dedicated doctors like Michael Debakey of Houston for being pioneers in this procedure.

The best results from rehab are achieved from the earliest efforts. Stay the course Skeet, you CAN do it.
