    Default Summer specks II

I hope no one tells these
    Monroe specks it's not October....
Perfect wind today.....WT 85.7.... Found fish in 9 to 10 fow.... Biting anything that wiggled ..... Great day to be out.
Iffin my trolling batteries hadn't give out I would have stayed a
Little longer working on a limit..... Ended up catching 20 before heading in around 9:30. I know some of you probably have limited out during the summer but this would have been a first for me. Oh well, maybe I'll get another shot at it.

THANKS to Pontoon Pappy and Speckanator for the additions to the cooler.
Was a PERFECT day to be on the water, wind down, some scattered clouds, NO boat traffic.

Great catch. They are there and they bite all summer sometimes the heat is just hard to put up with. Tom and I fish them all year but the thing I hate the most about Summer fishing is the Sun comes up way to early for me. Looks like a beatiful day on the water. Do you ever fish those pilings? Back in Iowa when I as a kid there was a new dock along side a old one that was distroyed when the ice went out in the spring. My dad always caught crappie beside the old pilings. He didn't have a boat but could walk along the new dock and fish the old pilings only about a 20 foot flip cast. I was to young to cast so just stood in the middle of the dock with a life jacket on. So that is Lake Monroe. Beautiful I have never seen it but Tom and I are planing on coming down for the weigh in next month it is about a two hour drive.
Thanks for the pics and the report. Don

You’re building a fire Micah. I might have to look up a first mate and go play. They looked nice.

WTG! That’s a great day anytime of year.
