Titusville sewage leak: Indian River Lagoon filled with wastewater | WFTV
Someone just posted this on the shrimp forum, I don't know if it's true or not.
Someone else said it was due to a sewage spill, don't know if that's true or not.
I haven't seen/heard anything on Internet or TV news about it ....
Huntinslabs, perhaps you can dig up something about it ??????????????
"(The river (Indian River Lagoon) here in T-Ville is currently closed to all boating, fishing, and swimming.")

They say they have the funds to repair the lift station and it won’t happen again. With all the focus on the water quality problems in the IRL, this should not have occurred in the first place. Supposedly the leak, at the lift station, was from an improperly abandoned force main done forty years ago. Unless there is exceptional circumstances, this is a direct result of poor leadership in Titusville’s Water Resources Dept. over the years. One report says 870 thousand gallons, another states “over a million”, and another claims they have no idea how much raw sewage was pumped into the lagoon. Maybe a “whistle blower” will come forth with “the rest of the story” regarding the truth in the matter.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
It just keeps getting better. IRL just can’t catch a break unless it’s a bad one.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Yep saw this yeaterday. This happenings are likely why the northern Mosquito lagoon to Ponce Inlet are getting so many schools of fish the last few years.

Saw it on the news, sad to see. Wonder how much more the lagoon can take before it is beyond restoration??
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Mother nature can clean it, if we can just leave it alone long enough for her to do it.
Wear your PFD!!!!!

Yep....still is a sad matter....after all these years!
crappie down !huntinslabs, 6mm LIKED above post
There was a time the water was as clear as spring water, many times I'd just dive in, it looked so inviting.
As much money as "they" are trying to raise to save it, I don't think it'll ever get done, too much money'll
go into pockets instead of the lagoon ..... But they'll take all the volunteers that want to come .....
