Had the pleasure of fishing with the brother-n-law & a few times with son at Stick Marsh/Farm pond, Jessup, Harney, Crescent, Woodruff, Norris Dead, Lemon Bluff, & Monroe. Jessup produced the best #ers & Woody best size. We caught around 300 fish during the week including; Alligator gar, Bass, Shad, Catfish, Needle nose gar, & of course plenty-o-target CRAPPIE. Long-lined a lot, but Jessup required soaking minnies a ft under cork. Harney sadly no bites in 1 pass, so spent the rest of the day at Jessup. Monroe was Ok, however, the wind came up early each day, so ole reliable Jessup proved as a good back up to hide from the wind. Crescent wasn't bad, but a lot of traffic in the area holding fish, missed Speckanator, but said hello to Flycaster & talked to Anchor King & Queen. Stick/Farm pond was good, but very scattered compared to last trip a couple months ago, met up with Crappieday & gang who made the trip to Stick, but unfortunately they did not have the set up for open water trolling, was a beautiful day on the water regardless & they more than made up on there other travels. Woody & Norris Dead, what more can be said then (4) 2#ers, once again scattered, but well worth the trip. Lemon Bluff turned into a Shad fest, made for a delighted change of pace. Jessup males are as dark as can be, setting up beds on the banks, the "BIG" gals are sure to be showing up in the coming weeks, probably took a dozen 13" fish, which are prize winners at Jessup. Many good memories made this week get out a & make some yourselfs.......Tight-Lines all!!

Jeff, glad you got on the shad they are always a good backup plan. Our shad trip to the Econ was a bust. On the way out we stopped 100 yards below the mouth and got on the best America Shad bite we had in a few years. We had fish to 4 lbs. 23 total caught. Most of the time we only catch Hickorys in that area
Fishing for a week at a time, you and Andy are doing your best to make a man jealous. Sounds like you and the crew had a great time. Those fish are really nice, and I'm sure you're ready to go back today!

Didn't mean to short-change Crescent Vic, we ended up with 19 or so, with a couple 14" fish in the mix......Ok for some average lone-liners, the purpose when traveling to Crescent is the potential for that 17"er .....Crescent has a reputation for "High" expectations, with proven results....always good to see you & the Mrs. again.
