Except for when some Ramp Wizard completely blocks the middle of a ramp that can handle three small boats or two large ones at a time. Then proceeds to leisurely scratch their ***, start unloading stuff from the truck to the boat, and generally f*** around with a line of people waiting. This act seems to be seen more and more nowadays.

Marinas should charge by the minute at boat ramps.

It should be a common sense rule for most fisherman to know if you aren't ready to launch then don't pull up to the ramp. Find a spot outta the way to load/unload.

When it comes to the pleasure boater.......well..... they like to load floats, coolers & grills right on the ramp I see it all the time especially over here in the salt, all they care about is burning fuel & drinkin.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I launch alone so I always make sure I’m not ‘that guy”.

I always leave early and prefer to be launched and on the water before most ever arrive to the ramp.

With that being said....... two weeks ago I arrive at the ramp at 5:30am...... only to find one side of the ramp occupied by a boat half in the water with its owner well into tearing it up wrenching on it. The other side of the ramp had a parked car with a group of guys sitting around an impromptu fire burning on the cement ramp.

I was in disbelief...... even waited a few minutes until they got the hint with my boat almost in their laps.
What kind of intellectual challenge individuals do these things, and believe it being ‘ok’?

It’s becoming harder and harder to be a nice guy in this world I’m telling ya.

Lake Sampson last April. Get there early with grandson and their is a green carp tournament going on so there's lots of boats. The last tournament guy to launch starts talking to all his buddies for about 10 minutes with his truck and boat sitting on ramp. I finally let him know that I was ready to launch and go fishing. Guy got attitude with me but did launch his boat. Please don't be that guy.
