Default looking for information on Talquin.

Heading down to Talquin the end of January. Haven't been there in over 15 yrs. From the looks of the Google Maps the lake has changed since I was there. Looks to be a lot more private docks.
Are there any White crappie there?
Are there submerged standing trees along the river channel?
Do you find them suspended or near the bottom this time of year?
Are the docks productive in the winter?
Thanks in advance for any and all information.
I'd be glad to return the favor on southern middle Tn. lakes.

    No white crappie
Literally submerged timber EVERYWHERE. In the channel, outside the channel, literally everywhere.
I'm sure you could find fish on some docks but i'd focus my efforts elsewhere pulling. Just my preference.

Try pulling the channel ledges and work your way onto the flats next to the channel. They shouldn't be in the creek mouths....yet.

i live on the lake. last time i was out the water temp. was 51/52 degrees. fish caught mostly suspended over 21-25 feet of water on channel edges and flats just off the edges. longlining. 4 days ago. very cold and windy every am.

I have been the beginning of February the last 4-5 years and usually pulling double 1/16 jigs in and around the channels and channel ledges works best for us. Sometimes if it’s colder or wind picks up we will run a 1/8 and a 1/16 jig
