Great day. Do yall have them armored catfish/plecostumous (spell check) fish things over there? I see them doing that a bunch on the side creeks of the river.

Lots around Poinset, slappin crazy!

Not sure if we have those catfish or not, I have never seen one or heard of them before you mentioned them. Whatever fish these are, they were towards the middle of the lake over about 12 FOW. Their shape resembled a panfish. Could they be Tilapia??

Not sure. Most often Tilapia are in 3' or less. But not sure. Could have been bluegills on some micro hatch of some sort.

More than likey it's the (hassa) "armored catfish" that you're seeing pescadoor they are taking over the smaller lakes around here they come to the top and make a quick flip, wait until some water starts flowing in and you'll see them by the 100s slapping

I sure hope this isn't the case, the shape was more like a panfish. I was thinking bluegills at first, but then I couldn't get 1 to bite any of my offerings?????
