Lochloosa Report - Sept 15th
Fished Lochloosa on Monday the 15th from sunup until the rain drove us off the lake at 2pm. Found the fish trolling in the deeper water in the north half of the lake. The bite was better on bare hooks tipped with minnows than jigs or jig and minnow combos. Kept 30 fish to 1.25lbs, lot's of nice frying size. More gar bites than we could remember on this lake. Not big numbers of fish at one time but a pretty steady pick.
Launched at Lochloosa Harbor and the water is higher than we can remember, there must be 1.5 to 2.0ft more water in the lake this yr compared to last. Hope this helps.

That's a great lake to fish during the week. I usually run to Little Lochloosa and troll back. This time of year there's fog on some days that takes a while to burn off. Great report. Thanks!
