Would love to hear more about Orange.
We made several trips to Orange in the 70's in Feb for a week of fishing
and R&R.
Later started fishing Big "O".
Last time I checked on Orange it was dry.
Sure used to enjoy going to the Yearling for steak.

QUOTE=bnwbassman]Prefished woodruff last sunday and caught 40, biggest 10 fish weighed 16.2. Not too shabby. Florida crappie association is having a tournament their this saturday, should be some pretty big fish weighed in. If you want to catch alot of crappie though visit Orange lake in between ocala and gainsville on us 301. You can catch your limit by 9am, really been catching alot of 1.8 to 2lb fish their too.....anyway Orange lake and Woodruff really good right now. Ocala forest lakes fish are really skinny Bryant, lou, kerr, jumper, etc. Just not eating or something. If anyone want to know about the Crappie USA and florida crappie association tour. email me at
