NTS Talapia fishing?

buddy of mine who moved to the villages is all excited about going after talapia with a hook and bait. saw a youtube deal on it and made this concoction up and thinks he can get some as they grow well in FL waters. Anyone here have any experience with this. course won't touch store bought ones as they are fish farmed in filth in salton sea area of cali or in SE asia.

I have caught a few on Jessup and St John's on worms and jig. Always by accident
