    Default COOLER/ICE CHEST

I'm in the market for a new cooler/ice chest and while I can afford a Yetti, I'm not sure I wanna go there since I don't want to worry about some one stealing it outta my truck when I'm not around. Are there any coolers in the same class as a Yetti but without the "curb" appeal of one?

    Thanks.

Friend has the lifetime cooler. Says it is every bit as good as his RTIC and Yeti as far as keeping ice and a ton cheaper. Only problem right now is they only have one size. Web site says they are supposed to be coming out with different sizes before long.

As for ice keeping ability, no need for spending a couple hundred dollars on expensive coolers.
A regular cooler lined with the ridged foam insulation will keep ice for a week easily.
Even just a piece cut to fit the top under the lid will make it last much longer.
Years back we went to Quebec every year for remote wilderness type camping/fishing trips.
You took in what ever you needed for the entire trip, as It took a whole day to get in there from the hard road.
We used one large cooler for ice storage lined with foam, and others with foam just for under the lid for general use.
We always had plenty of ice left for icing the fish we took out with us after 5 or 6 days.
And after I weeded out a few serious beer drinkers, it even got better. lol

We bought an RTIC, and we have been very pleased.

From personal experience, all you get from a Yeti is a very inflated price with no better performance than quality off brands
