Well from what i understand from the few people who prefish fishing was tough behind a brisk cold front and stayed that way right through tournament day. With that being said (6) teams still took the the water and braved the cold 29 degree air temp at take off!! bites were slow at best for most and the bigger fish that henderson has been known for in the past were hard to locate!


One (1) position paid for "big fish"

1st: Sam Cooper
1lbs 14.3oz

Two (2) positions paid for "7 fish total weight"

1st: Sam Cooper
7lbs 10.9oz

2nd: Bobby Hill
6lbs 09.6oz

This was the first tournament of 2018 i want to thank those who came out and braved the cool temps. Just so everyone is aware we did vote on and bring into effect a club membership fee of 50$ this year all monies will be put into the classic pot!!! We welcome everyone to come out and give tournament fishing a try!!!

Next tournament is Harris Chain Of Lakes


Everyone must check in at southern tackle works in Tavares they will open @5:30am for us to sign in and get bait and such!! From there participants can fish anywhere on the Harris chain and the weigh in will take place at "Buzzard Beach Ramp" off highway 19 at lake Eustis!!

We will have to have a chat with Darryl on that one it was never clarified and I haven’t had time to discuss it more, there are only a few members that actually fish every tournament by themselves. Some of them such as myself fish with several different people a year, with that being said do we charge 25$ per person and give everyone their own membership card which I have printed and ready to hand out. Or do we charge 50$ per boat and once you’ve paid you can bring whichever partner you choose throughout the season???
