Default FCC Classic results, December 10th

    Saturday, Dec. 10th

    Florida Crappie Club - Classic
    Lake Crescent
    Crescent City, Fl.

As usual this time of year Lake Crescent does not like to give up her
Crappies (Spec's) without making fishermen work for them.
Weather through out the week leading up to Saturday had been sunshine,
skies somewhat cloudy, temps in the mid 70's to low 80's. No fish of any
size were reported - which met a good thing, those catching were not
telling - the weather was going to change - rain moved in on Friday, temps
dropped into 50's, wind started doing crazy thing - coming out of the
North - Ne & east, right down 16,000 aces narrow Crescent lake's 9 miles
By time waves reached south end of Bear Island they were white capping
at 4ft plus. Saturday outlook was starting out in high 30's - low 40's with
high of 60, wind out of North - going to Ne & E at about 8mph - up to 17 mph. (She didn't - pretty much on target - made for some tuff fishing and
    nagigating )

Twenty-nine (29) teams went after the these Crappie's, this was the
Classic - This is what teams had fished 19 tournaments to get a shot at
    this lake.

    For those wondering:

Most of the time when a Cold Front comes in heavy - the fish go down and bury themselves in the mud.

Rumors were: Several teams worked -shooting docks with some sucess until winds came up
Some Teams: worked the coves - in 2 1/2 - 3 ft water
Winning team - Worked "dead lake" 2 - 3 ft water, bobber casting to bank, minnow tipped

Once again Lake Crescent fooled a bunch of fishermen...........and many a person's thinking.

Again congrats to team who figured them out...............Jeff & Ricky

My error on position: Chuck Rayburn & Ray Nugent with 6 lbs. 4.8 oz should be 16th, not 18th.

Win - loose or draw the Classic is nothing but fun each year, the getting together night before is especially a blast
with all the fish tails being told, first lair hasn't got a chance.

My Partner John and I were just as shocked.. spider rigging in 2-3 feet of water... Lucky we found them... A Cold front that Huge.. and there they were.. in Shallow Water.. Go Figure...
