    Default Lassoing catfish

Anyone ever lassoed a catfish? I have, or sort of anyway. One night I was catfishing and somehow the hook had flipped up and caught the line above it in the bend of it forming a noose. I felt a tap as he swam through it and “set the hook” tightening up the noose. When I got him in I thought at first I’d foul hooked him but the hook never broke the skin. The pic isn’t good but I’ll post it anyway. You may be able see it better expanded.

Wow. You too! If we can perfect this technique maybe we can start having headin and heelin fishing contests!
