    Default Pepop rules Lake Austin


    The only problem with Pepop's lures is they catch everything. First cast of the day, 15 minutes of 12 foot Pro Angler pole bent 180 degrees, nursing this big girl to the surface. Took her away from our brushpile and let her go. Rapala scale only goes to 30 and it kept going when I lifted her on it. Estimated 40-50 pounds. This is the second opportunity of a life time as I caught a 30+ pounder several months ago.

    Pepop makes some great jigs!!
    I am amazed how often we catch cats on a jig. You wouldn't think it was worth the effort, for something that size to even eat that jig.
    Congrats! I have caught some flats in the 5-25 range. Yours is huge!!
