Default Humminbird 997c SI Is 1400.00 a good price? IGOT IT! AWESOME

    I received my Unit yesterday.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160188443942

It is Awesome, I have spent hours already using the simulator.
Although the box was factory sealed, It was missing the Gimbal mount.
I called Humminbird to inquire about the warranty since I had purchased it on Ebay. She told me that a lot of there products sell on Ebay and to make a copy of my purchase for the warranty, To top it off Humminbird is sending me the gimbal mount no charge
I see the seller has another one for sale!

I'm glad you got the deal. I do have a couple questions AND DON'T ANSWER. This is just something to think about. If you had got stung on this deal would you post it. And if it had gone south would $1400 hurt..I could take the hit but posting it would be the hardest. And I'd also be very bitter..Merry Christmas

Well, if I had been ripped off.. Of course I would have been pissed.
Would I have posted it here? Sure Why not? It would only help others.
As with any purchase you should do your homework.
This seller has over 3300 sales with a 99+% customer satisfaction,
    Including other fishfinders.
This is better than a lot of retail stores that I have dealt with.
I used PayPal that claims to have a 2000.00 protection plan but
just in case I used my Visa for the Paypal payment and I know they would have
    given me a charge back.
I have done over 500 deals on Ebay since 1997 mostly as a seller. I have only
Had one incident where I lost $, this was 20.00 dollars worth of hockey cards
from Canada, I don't know if they were lost in the mail or if they never were sent.
Again a person has to do there Homework!

I wish you and your Family a Merry Christmas Also

That was a great buy Daniel, i recently bought a Garmin 76CSx mapping GPS from an internet dealer, i researched the seller all i could, read comments from other buyers of his and took the plunge. It sells around here for $450-500, i got it on Ebay for $265. i'm very happy with it and it was also a new unit. again great buy!

    Crip 47,

First You ask me some questions on a public forum and
state "AND I DON'T WON'T ANSWERS" Well I chose to
answer for the rest of the forum.
Then You edit your post and tell me to "DON'T ANSWER"
I don't know where you are going with this but I sure don't see
    any need for it!

Well, I for one can tell ya $1400 would hurt me, even if I GOT THE UNIT!! :D Glad it worked out for you. I've bought a few items off ebay without an incident. Alot of the sellers are actually stores reducing older inventory I think. If you take your time you can get stuff for half the price. Anyway, that site gives me something to do when Crappie.com is down.

Was the transducer included? I have seen several of these units where the transducer was not included and there was the reason for the lower price.

I like ebay---it saves me money! Im waiting on UPS to deliver a TomTom one xl automotive gps i bought on Ebay.I shopped the local stores first, then i looked on Ebay----saved myself alot of money that i can use for other things.I highly recommend Ebay to every one--look there first before you give away your hard earned money---ricky p.s. im also waiting for a barrel for my 1100 remington to come in the mail---with shipping i paid less than $75.00 for it---hope you can see why i like Gunbroker.com just as much as Ebay.
