I thought I would attach some photos of my install. Basically the same as the iboats post but my Power Drive V2 has the newer release handle. I drilled a hole in the plastic handle to pass the transducer cable. I had to make it big so the connector would fit through. I would also recommend to use electrical tape where you can. Zip ties can cut into your cable if your motor head gets turned too far creating a lot of tension. Make sure you know the running depth for your trolling motor before using electrical tape to secure the cable to the top portion of the shaft. If you tape too low on the shaft it will prevent the motor from dropping down far enough into the water.

I must agree this thread made it easy to do, one thing i had a hard time doing is drilling a hole in the release handle so i came up with this idea and it still working 2 years now, make sure if you buy one of these stick on cable holders make sure its big enough for the cable to slide.

this is how i solved the problem. i used screw in hook catches....similar to the ones used on screen doors......just bigger so the cord would slide easly.....

Just thought I'd add this one that I found as I have recently been researching the same. I did it and it seems to work so far. Good solution for giving you some extra buffer with the cord.

Slick ideas. Thanks to all for posting. I just combined the 2 ideas, drilled the small hole in the fin of the motor and drilled the hole in the handle at 1 inch and added the spring at the head of the trolling motor and works like a charm on the transducer wire not getting caught up anywhere getting pinched.
