I just purchased a Garmin live scope 34. I also purchased a beat down outdoors breakaway mount. Mount for the pole from Garmin seems like it has an angle on it where the transducer don’t set the street up and down it says in an angle it said that’s the one to use if you’re going to use a pole. is anyone else experienced? This? Should my transducer be straight up and down or should it always be in a little bit of an angle. Does that really matter?

You'll want a 0 degree mount with your transducer pole. The 8 degree mount is for mounting to the trolling motor shaft. You need the angle so the transducer beam does not hit the motor housing.

I fish mostly anywhere from 3' - 20' of water. My LVS34 transducer is mounted to my trolling motor shaft with a 0 degree mount. I have never had any issues and the 8 degree mount is a nuisence because you have to cast off to the left. I would reccomend to get a 0 degree mount regardless of your mounting location.
This is a picture of my jig circled and screen with the LVS34 mounted to my trolling motor shaft with a 0 degree mount.
