    Default Garmin Ma; Card

Have a Garmin GPSMap 1222. Which map card to I need to purchase for this unit. Need KY, TN. AL, VA, NC and FL lakes. Have Navionics for my Lowrance units. Appears the Garmin takes a larger size card than my older HSD8 and HSD9 touch unit.

These Map cards confuse me. Are they really worth the price they are asking?

So…fish finders come with a basic map loaded as you know. The map cards are much more detailed maps. Here is a short pro/con read.

Most use the 1222 for a dedicated livescope unit.Do you have lowrance units front and back also.If you do i would use them for maps and waypoints.

If your unit is a echo map. The bult in map as far as KY lake goes its just as good if not better than any map I've seen.
