Cabela's/ BPS HAS them on sale new for that price. You get the warranty with a new one. I have one I use for LiveScope only and really like it. It's a good unit for LiveScope or for SV/CV sonar and the G3 maps nation wipe are good basemaps.

Thanks for the replies. I was planning on buying at Bass Pro, just wanted to hear some reviews before I pulled the trigger.

They are not that cheap here. I'd snatch it up for $1000. Its still a bargain but it's $1299 here.

If you buy it at the Wichita store ask them to install the latest updates on it. If you need any help setting it up and operating it let me know and I would be glad to meet you at Cheney or Eldorado and help you with it. Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 10 - Ultra 106sv w/GT54 Transduce

Something to think about, is these units like a clean power source, so powering it off your starting battery isn't the best choice. After experiencing this and the lack of usable working time, I went to using a Dewalt 20v lithium battery (Power tool) and a Seelite power adapter, I can run a good 6-7hrs on one battery.
