Can you disable sonar on your 93? Look in menu while on the sonar page and see if there is a disable sonar transmission.

Y’all are the best. Thanks for the tip! I was looking through the menus and couldn’t find it while I was out there this past week.

Sonar setup then click transmit off. Then when you get where you're going to fish next click transmit on. It becomes a standard routine after you do it a few times & you don't have to worry about transducer over heat on long runs. I do it every time i take my transducer out of the water.

Thank y’all. I’m going to get everything worked on this afternoon and update y’all as I fish throughout the week.

I did move the transducer down about 3/4 of an inch and the performance of the unit has went up drastically. I still can’t stand all the way on the left side of the boat, but I believe the transducer will have to be completely under the boat to alleviate this. It’s no problem for me, I stand in the center 99% of the time.

Thanks again for the menu tip, I now turn my transducer off while going to and from places and it puts my mind at ease.

I’ve been adjusting on the brightness of DI and SI to help with clarity and it’s helped me spot fish easily. I read that leaving the range at 40ft for SI is a great spot to be able read what’s on the screen and it’s been working. Am I losing any capability by only looking out 40 feet? I feel like a lot of detail would be lost by increasing the range.

Are there any other settings I should look at adjusting to improve my experience?

Now you just have to play with it all. Every body of water can be tweaked differently and same bodies of water may need tweaked depending on water conditions. Default setting is always a good place to start. As far as scan width it depends on if you’re looking for individual fish or big targets sunk boats fish cribs. Bigger width patter the less screen pixels to dedicate to targets

I run the width about 3x the depth but that just for general scanning purposes but honestly I don't use side scan that much.
I'm glad to see you getting out and getting it all setup. Like Nova said you just have to get out and play with it to get it dialed in. As water conditions change you may have to change some of your setting a little to keep it dialed in.
