Hi Guys.
I know there are a couple older posts about external transducer mounting on Powerdrive, specifically how you manage cables from twisting up and getting damaged with spot lock. What’s the best solution for the money? Any products on the market for this? If it matters, my Minn kota Powerdrive is a 2019 model.

A piece of 3/8 curled air tubing is what i use. Spot lock only goes so far before it resets, i think its 2.5 turns? Just has to be long enough to survive that, and the curled tubing keeps the slack under control. Not pinching it when storing motor is the tricky part, i was too cheap to buy the $50 plate the held the cable out 8" that some sell.

What buckeye just shared. I paid $30 for the air tubing from mya local hardware store, spent 10 min cutting a slit in it to get the ducer cable inside, then zip tied it all together and to my motor. I have it hanging loose along the shaft, then zip ties to the shaft right below the head. Hasnt been an issue for 2 years now, and I saved about $150. I do know people who have pinched their cable tho, so i watch for it and move it out of the way if needed.

on mine i used a coiled wire cable for locking a bike up. replaced one of the cover screws with a long eye bolt and nut. used a quick clip at the top and bottom of cable. zip tied the bottom clip to motor and ziptied wires along the cable. it works good and holds the cable out of the way. i have a HB si/di and GT54 transducers on my TM head. and then a separate pole for LiveScope. however I think I've figured out a way to mount my LS pole to the PD mount so I can deploy them all at once and not use the TM for aiming LS.
