JMO but it seems like you hit the point of diminishing returns pretty quickly with those big units unless you have a lot of money to blow. Better off investing in a good mount and getting the screens closer to your eyes I think.

I started with a 93 and ran it for a year. I am currently running the 1242 GPSMap unit. Like most here I started out with the 9in and it worked but it didn't take long to want that bigger screen plus I wanted a unit that had the helm feature for recording my screen. I may be adding a 2nd unit for mapping. I have been experimenting with a split screen running the mapping and livescope view on the same page

What ever size you decide on be sure to contact BBG Marine, Brian, he usually answers the phone. Best service, prices of anyone I have checked with. Bought my trolling motor from him, transducers I screwed up and the Livescope Plus with a 1222 Garmin. Received in a couple days after I ordered it. Good honest people to do business with.

I made a d i y mount that raises the unit up to 2 feet & then bought a double seat stand to sit in. That will put a 93 sv in your face.
