    Default Humminbird Mapping

Day In the Life of a Lake Map Surveyor | LakeMaster - YouTube

I was commenting in another thread about Humminbird maps being the most accurate in the waters I fish and that being one of the key factors why I have always used Humminbird equipment in freshwater. I have wondered why other brands have never caught up with them in the mapping department. I found this video this morning that explains it all. It’s amazing that they put this much effort into creating a real map instead of one based off of projected and purchased information.

If memory serves me correctly, back in the day, the other brands had you upload your data. Then they sent you a lake map. they made the maps out of data people collected. One of the reasons I went with LakeMaster. Plus I have lots of experience using other Johnson Outdoors products. I really like how Johnson Products link products' to work as one. I spend less time working my electronics and more time fishing.
When i pre-fish for a tournament, the first day is mapping and hunting for cover/structure. I don't even drop a line. I need to find fish, and where they are going, coming from. Knowing their routes helps when teh bite stops and the fish move.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
