Default How Many Livescope Users Have Perspective Mode Also?

I was wondering how many have pulled the trigger and got Perspective View in addition to Livescope. I did and I'd have to say it's a whole different animal to learn but I've definitely caught big slabs that I would have missed without it.

I actually got the mount and installed it on my pole, but used it a few times. Never figured out how it would help me, so I but it back in the box so my pole was easier to stow.

    What am I missing??

My understanding is that it is better for use in shallow water. It basically tilts the up/down forward view cone on its side. I don't fish water shallow enough to warrant having it, so I never got the mount & update. But, one thing it does have that I'd like to see on my regular forward view Livescope is the boat icon with the directional cone showing which way the tdx is pointing. You can see the icon in the upper right corner in this picture :

For me it would help to have that icon for two reasons : not having to have to check the trolling motor "arrow" to see which direction it's pointing .... and my trolling motor arrow is not lighted, so seeing the direction arrow at night is difficult. The icon would show me which direction the tdx was pointing, by simply looking on the screen (day or night). But, my LS tdx is mounted on the TM shaft. If yours is mounted on a separate pole, the direction the tdx is pointing would be obvious.

I gotcha... I was trying to use it in 30+ feet of water and wasn't impressed by it. That's where I was using forward view on a brush pile. Guess I should have tried different depth before I took it off the pole.

I have tried to get the direction thing to work before, but on forward view. You solved that mystery too!

I've used it in shallow water and it worked great. You really need the capability to tilt the transducer to use it in deeper water.

I fish a big area of flats quite often that are 4 to 8 feet deep. It works well for me to get the forward flat view a pretty good distance out while spider rigging. I have the perspective mount on a pole that sets back about 4-foot from the bow nose and I do see the trolling motor reflection but not bad.

It works well to watch for bigger concentrations of fish to spiderrig thru or to locate a new stakebed or brushpile that you might have missed with just forward facing livescope.

if you do the calibration you should have that icon in regular view. Mine has it
