Default solix ethernet connected to a 1159 why can i see some waypoints but not all?

so i ended up getting a gen1 solix 12 with update to 4.?? i have it ethernet connected to an 1159 at the bow which has never been updated, i loaded my old waypoints into the solix they show up on the 1159 but when i mark something new it doesnt show up nor when i marked my location on the 1159 did it show up on the solix?, Whats up with this? the ethernet connection previoulsy worked fine with the helix 12 i originally had hooked to the 1159.

also how do you switch the solix to read from card slot 1 to slot2? i have two map cards in it and would like to be able to switch which one it reads like you can with a helix, by the way i sure miss my helix, this solix is way more complicated!!

    I appreciate all the help

How many waypoints are in the 1159 internal memory ... ??
How many waypoints are in the SOLIX internal memory ... ??
    ——-

Press Menu button twice ... then Select the Chart tab to get to the Chart settings ...
(or press the Home button and then touch the Settings icon) ...

The HELIX can only display 2750 regardless of how many the SOLIX has in its internal memory ...

So in your scenario you have a total of 3741 waypoints

I have no idea how the 1159 determines which waypoints from the total SOLIX memory to display on the 1159 ...

I have no idea if the HELIX is displaying its 1000 waypoints and then 1750 from the SOLIX memory ...

There’s just no easy way without counting them one at a time from the list in the waypoint management Menu ...

With your combination of SOLIX and 1159 it may be best to turn off waypoint sharing and then if you Mark a waypoint on one unit —>> physically Mark it on the other unit also ...

Your scenario has also been reported by some users with SOLIX and HELIX waypoint sharing ...

dang i sure wish i had know that prior to the solix purchase, so if i put another solix at the bow and ethernet connected it, it would show up to 20,000 waypoints?

i really appreciate the technical support!

im looking at a an Onix as a cheaper alternative to the solix at the bow just to show my waypoints up to the 20,000 , would this also be compatible? has anyone heard any trouble with these units i see they arent near as popular and the used ones go much cheaper

ONIX would hinder keeping the SOLIX up to date ... SOLIX version 3.400 killed sharing capability with ONIX ...
    Confused about old onix setup.
