Thread: livescope transducer position

Mines on right side of the boat with the transducer on the same side. The transducer sits parallel with the pole with the long line of transducer level & it works great.

Just exactly like the second pic of your transducer & it works great. Mine has more slack to be able to go to perspective mode but other than that it’s pretty much identical as far as set up goes. I’ve even got my pvc pole in a bench mount bicycle repair stand which is essentially the same as your seelite mount stand.

I can't tell exactly how you have it in the first picture, but if the front of the boat is to the right in the second picture then the transducer needs to be clicked back until the bottom edge is parallel to the ground/water line. The instructions refer to the sides of the pole. Doesn't matter which side of boat you are on.

The second pic is correct & how mine is. With the long straight line of the transducer sitting level in parallel with the water & it’s also about 2 feet under the waters surface too as far as install depth goes.

Now I see how it is oriented in the first picture. It will read just fine that way. It is just considered "one click up". I run mine in the one up position sometimes.

I run mine "flat" (top of tdx level with top of TM) .... my buddy runs his two clicks "up" (#3 in Grizwilson image). He has his mounted that way so he can see the splashdown of his jigs on the surface, so he can determine if they landed in the correct spot above the fish/cover. Only thing he loses is a few feet of "under the boat" imaging.
