    Target lock only works with Ultrex trolling motors and keeps adding weight to the trolling motor. I’m not interest in target lock but more so on the updates of mega live of which I’m seeing good reports on improvements.

    Did this. (Updated). Before with 2.660 could see a swivel, a sinker, and minnow 15 ft away from transducer. Now cannot see a 1/2 oz sinker three ft away from transducer no matter what settings the helix mega si and helix 8 di g4 n's are set at. Plus there is a ton of interference that was never there before. Going back to the 2.660 if I can. Wondering if I have to go back to the 1.150 on the mega live transducer also and were to get the prior updates from as I could not find those prior system updates on hummingbirds site. Does anyone know where to get these prior updates (2.660 for helix di and 1.150. For mega live).

    I saw that this past week and thought it was pretty cool. But that price tag, ouch....

    Too bad its only for teh Ultrex. I will never buy a cable driven trolling motor.

    I agree about the new update. It doesn't work for me. Prior update was much better. Some are loving it. I run Helix as well, wonder if it is unit related. Don't think it is possible anymore to go back to previous versions. Stinks!!!!!
    At this point I'm ready to sell my Mega Live and just move on. Love my Birds but they missed on this one.
    Lots more money for target lock, no thanks!

    So you guys with live scope and a GPS trolling motor and a live scope trolling mount for it, if you rope anchor down find your target just do heading lock (no power to the prop)on the target will the trolling motor stay on target when the boat moves around? That what there new invention is basically. If you got a old GPS trolling motor laying around you could make your own.
