Do you use a sun shade/hood on your fishfinder(s)?
All too often I get a lot of glare from the sun and water on the screen of my fishfinders. Did a little search and found this company that makes a sun shade or hood cover for a select number of fishfinders, including the Garmin Echomap UHD 73sv and 93sv:

Has anyone used their sun shade/hoods on their electronics?
If so, what are your thoughts?
Anyone else have alternatives?
Just looking for input from individual's experiences as I plan to at least try something out.

I adjust the angle as well. The newest one is daylight readable as I believe they call it

Picked up the Garmin 106 all through the sale for livescope and it's so plenty higher in direct solar than my Helix gadgets. I have looked at several offerings and also at fabricating something, which I don't believe would be too difficult.
What is causing me problems is: that I don't want whatever I do to prevent the use of my protective covers,
and I also don't want it to turn into a constant swapping out/storage problem between the covers and sunshades.
