Default Do you use a sun shade/hood on your fishfinder(s)?

All too often I get a lot of glare from the sun and water on the screen of my fishfinders. Did a little search and found this company that makes a sun shade or hood cover for a select number of fishfinders, including the Garmin Echomap UHD 73sv and 93sv:

Apex Fishing - Fish Finder Sun Deflectors and Sun Visors
    – Apexfishingproducts

Has anyone used their sun shade/hoods on their electronics?

If so, what are your thoughts?

    Anyone else have alternatives?

Just looking for input from individual's experiences as I plan to at least try something out.

    Thank you in advance.

Berley Pro also has sun visors for fish finders. I usually just adjust my angle on the fish finder to avoid most of the glare.

I adjust the angle as well. The newest one is daylight readable as I believe they call it

Picked up the Garmin 106 during the sale for livescope and it is so much better in direct sun than my Helix units. Very impressed with it so far.

Picked up the Garmin 106 all through the sale for livescope and it's so plenty higher in direct solar than my Helix gadgets. I am going to share this thread https://www.crappie.com/crappie/fishing-electronics-and-photography/433524-sun-florida lottery-shade-hood-fishfinder/ to my kith and kin who want to know about that. Very inspired with it to this point. newbie Chaser of those Thump Thumps to boost the ones Hand Kandys!

I have looked at several offerings and also at fabricating something, which I don't believe would be too difficult.
What is causing me problems is: that I don't want whatever I do to prevent the use of my protective covers,
and I also don't want it to turn into a constant swapping out/storage problem between the covers and sunshades.
    Thanks for sharing.
