That is what Chart Select is. It is the lakemaster map for whichever lake you prefer and you can buy them individually. If you only frequent a couple lakes it is a cheaper route to go.

You can buy an individual map of SML from hummingbird if that's what you're looking for, a lot cheaper. That's what I did and the detail is great.

You will need a SD card for each lake you download.

Thats the first I have ever seen that. I have several lakes on one sd. I do have to choose base layer to the lake im on but sometimes its automatic.

Maybe they have improved it since I first downloaded individual maps for Indiana lakes 3-4 yrs ago. Back then,,that was the instructions when they first came out with it or my interpretation of downloading and using the lake maps. It would sure be more convenient to have your downloaded maps in one card. Back then, my units were all G2N models also.

I prefer LakeMaster maps. They work well with Humminbird/Terrova. All three made by Johnson Outdoors, and all three made to work together. I fish numerous lakes and have multiple cards for different areas.

The Helix 9 I bought on here came with a Navionics. I tried it, did not like it. Maybe because I’m used to the Lakemaster.

I have one humminbird with lakemaster & one with navionics & i like lakemaster for my use. The lakemaster depth shading definitely helps when in backwaters of the creeks. Garmin owns navionics.
